Product Description

 

Silicon-calcium alloy is a composite alloy consisting of silicon, calcium, and iron, and serves as an effective composite deoxidizer and desulfurizer. It is widely used in the production of high-quality steel, low-carbon steel, stainless steel, and other steel grades, as well as special alloys such as nickel-based and titanium-based alloys. Additionally, it can be used as a heating agent in converter steelmaking shops, a inoculant for cast iron, and an additive in the production of ductile iron.

 

Functions of Calcium Silicon Deoxidizer

 

1.Silicon-calcium alloy is a critically important metallurgical material in steelmaking and cast iron production.
2.The silicon and calcium elements in the alloy have a strong affinity for oxygen; calcium, in particular, not only binds oxygen efficiently but also strongly adsorbs impurities such as sulfur and nitrogen. Therefore, silicon-calcium alloy serves as an excellent composite deoxidizer and desulfurizer.
3.It possesses strong deoxidizing capabilities, and the reaction products float to the surface and are easily removed, leaving no residues in the molten steel that could compromise quality. The use of silicon-calcium alloy also improves steel properties, enhancing plasticity, impact toughness, and fluidity, resulting in steel that is tougher and easier to process and form.
4.Currently, silicon-calcium alloy can replace aluminum for final deoxidation and is widely used in the production of high-quality steel, special steel, and special alloys, such as rail steel, low-carbon steel, stainless steel, as well as high-end materials like nickel-based alloys and titanium-based alloys.
5.In addition, silicon-calcium alloy serves as a heating agent in converter steelmaking, an inoculant in cast iron production, and a common additive in ductile iron production, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
